Junior Audition (6 - 12yrs)

Please arrive prepared to dance in appropriate attire. Dancers to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to sign in and receive audition numbers before entering the studio for a thorough warm-up. The audition will focus on general technique as well as hip-hop, jazz and lyrical styles. It will i …morenvolve across the floor drills, the learning of choreography followed by a presentation of the material learned. There will be no time for a full change of clothing between dance styles but dancers are advised to bring jogging bottoms and trainers to throw-on for Hip-Hop sections, over the top of tighter fitting clothing and bare feet for technical styles. Please bring a bottle of water. Please contact hello@kwdance.com with any questions. Parents are not permitted to enter the studio but may wait in the lobby if necessary. Unlike regular classes we cannot accommodate large groups or young siblings in the lobby. We encourage people to wait in a local coffee shop (or similar) while auditions are in progress. This is to ensure all dancers are able to properly focus without distraction and are given equal and fair opportunity to shine. Please acknowledge and observe KWDA TEAM codes of conduct in order to maintain the overall mission statement of KWDA, which is to help dancers develop towards their potential as artists, athletes and people. less
